You had installed a Domino Release 5 server and configured outbound SMTP Mail Routing to your ISP and everything seemed to be working fine. Now, however, the Router has started generating the following error message on outbound SMTP sessions:
"Cannot Convert Rich Text Message to MIME Message."
Since the errors started occurring, you are no longer able to transfer any outbound SMTP mail.
This issue has been reported to Lotus Quality Engineering.
The issue can be the result of changing an option in the Configuration document to enable "Convert Tabs to Spaces." This option is found in the MIME/Conversion options - Outbound section of the Configuration document, being used by the outbound routing SMTP R5 server.
Disabling the option should clear the error and enable mail to begin routing correctly.
